Nine Months In

Well, Alexander Graham Cracker is now nine months from it's official release date. So many things have happened and I have not kept up with the blog. Hold on, I'm fixin' to fill you in.

Nine months is the length of time to have a baby. I feel like that is exactly what I did. I had a baby. I conceived Alexander Graham Cracker, I nursed him along editing and finalizing. Then he was finished, born from the publishing company. And like a nervous Mom sending him out into the world for the first time, I've had jitters, doubts and moments of exhilaration.

Two of the most amazing moments that stood out took place when I gave the boys copies of their book. They wanted me to sign it for them and Benny said, "Wait, wait! I have a special pen." Boy did he ever. His pen said "I am so proud of you" I almost broke into tears!

The second one was in a restaurant with the boys on Easter Sunday. The waitress was taking our order and Benny said, "This is my MomMo, she is a world famous author." the waitress was impressed. Then Jacob chimed in, "Yea, she is even writing a book about us and the American Revolution!" Well that did it, I had to dig in my Mary Poppins purse and hand out business cards. I love my little fans. They are proud of their MomMo and their Mommy for going to nursing school. I'm proud of their Mommy for going to nursing school, too. It is hard work and she is making excellent progress and grades.

Well, the next book is in the works - the second in the Alexander Graham Cracker Series. We are also going to offer felt aliens, t shirt and other things for sale off my Etsy store. I'll post more on that.
